ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR:

My name is Lisa, and I have been drawing and creating art  since childhood. Although I have historically focused on realistic pencil drawings of Australian birds and wildlife, recent motherhood has inspired me to broadened my range and extended my art practice into the world of children's book illustrating. Included on this page are some examples of original illustrations I have created over the past two years. Some of these artworks feature in a book I co-wrote and illustrated ('There is Time' by Lisa  Melichar and Lisa Kennedy). Others are unique illustrations included to show my range of style and subject matter. Typically, I work in pen and ink and/or pen and watercolour to create my illustrations.
